    Healthy Men build Wealthy Nation (Health is wealth)

    The management of Prabhu Educational Society in association with philanthropic doctors conduct awareness programs on organ donations, blood donation and organize health camps in school as well as in rural villages for the last few years aiming the students, parents, public with the surrounding slum areas and rural poor. The doctors are also invited to conduct awareness programs among the students and parents on various diseases like epilepsy, diabetes, B.P, cancer, malaria, tuberculosis, swine flu, viral fevers and the like and how they have to be prevented at the initial stages itself by observing and adopting healthy habits, maintaining clean environment and nutritive value dietary practices. Awareness among the students is also provided through book reading especially to make available books on Health education, medicinal plants and herbal medicines and their curative properties, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Allopathic medicine practices. Attempts are made to subscribe for the health journals which deal with ‘Gruha Vaidyam’, ‘Aaharam Arogyam’, ‘Natu Vaidyam’ which are very simple and understandable to the children and the parents of the school. The students are instructed to attend the yoga and meditation classes and encouraged to participate in sports and games to keep body fitness and healthy living. An awareness on ‘Swatch Bharat’, the Central and State governments program is also being practiced by motivating the school children.

    Sri B.Chiranjeevi Reddy one of the founder member of this society who met with an accident and finally brain dead in SVIMS Hospital in the last week of July 2016. The President, the Secretary and other EC Members of Prabhu Educational Society persued and convinced the family members of B. Chiranjeevi Reddy to donate his vital organs to the needy and helpless patients. Upon the acceptance, the SVIMS Hospital doctors appreciated the bold decision of the family and implemented it on 31 July 2016 by transplanting his vital organs like heart, liver and kidneys to the needy patients at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Nellore. This task of ‘Pranadanam’ to the helpless poor patients is indeed the greatest that one can live long after one’s death! The happiness and the gratitude of the beneficiary family is indeed immeasurable!!
